The "HSPICE (R) Simulation and Analysis User Guide" doesn't have the full list of options. WTH!!
Thankfully, I'm not the first person to notice this. We have a nicely organized list here :

Believe it or not, they even fix some of Synopsys's errors - for Eg, the manual, on pg 61 says ".OPTION LENNAM defines the length of names in printouts (default=16).
Liars! Lehigh tells you 8 and they're right.

I'm afraid the basis of your complaint relies on a quite outdated manual. The HSPICE command options are described in Chapter 3 of the HSPICE Reference Manual: Commands and Control Options where they have resided for at least five years. If they so wish, I can help Lehigh University update its obsolete list by forwarding a pdf of the current command option listings.
With regard to .OPTION LENNAM, the default was changed from 8 to 16 several releases ago.
